Position: Volunteer and Office Coordinator

Location: Habitat for Humanity of Island County – Oak Harbor, WA

Reports to: Executive Director

Classification: Hourly, Monday-Friday

Compensation: $13.00-$17.00 DOE, 25-30 Hours/Week Paid Time off


 

WA, Oak Harbor- Volunteer and Office Coordinator

Habitat for Humanity of Island County is seeking a Volunteer and Office Coordinator to start immediately. This individual will implement and manage the marketing and messaging of the organization. This is a part time position with opportunity for growth. Pay is commensurate with experience. Flexible hours with some evening and weekend work required.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

Marketing: Prepare a comprehensive marketing plan to promote the affiliate activities, increase community awareness and recruit volunteers for the affiliate’s programs.
Communication: Develop materials, content and tools to achieve marketing goals. Includes website, social media, newsletter, brochures, campaign materials, press releases, homeowner testimonials.
Volunteer Coordination: Prepare and execute volunteer recruitment, retention, and appreciation. Maintain volunteer calendar and communicate with construction staff about needs. Maintain volunteer database and complete volunteer acknowledgements in a timely manner.
Events: Oversee the planning of affiliate events, Including Annual Banquet, Home Dedications, Groundbreakings, and Volunteer Appreciation Picnics
Administration: Provide accurate reports to the Executive Director. Maintain affiliate data base and documents. Other administrative and office duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

High School Diploma
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and Social Media platforms
Strong communication skills including speaking to groups and interpersonal communication
Energetic, creative, detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks
Self-starter and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Willingness to understand Habitat’s Programs and represent the affiliate’s interest in public
Ability to work some nights or weekends
