Cars for Homes

Donating your vehicle to Habitat for Humanity is a great way to support our work.

Proceeds from the sale of your donated vehicle will help Island County families build strength, stability, and self-reliance. Plus, it’s fast and easy to do and you may qualify for a tax deduction.

We accept almost all vehicles, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, RVs, boats, snowmobiles, farm equipment, and construction equipment.

Stock Donations

While time, money and housing supplies are the most common donations to Habitat, there are several other ways to give as well, including donating your stocks.

This is a fast and simple process which can be done through an electronic transfer, or certificates can be donated through the mail.

Your gift of stock may provide more benefits to you by eliminating the capital gains tax that would be due uon selling the stock.

Donations of stocks allows us to ensure that even more families in Island County have a safe, affordable place to call home.

When you donate land to Habitat for Humanity of Island County, you are ensuring that the homes remain affordable into the future. Donated land may be put into the Habitat for Humanity of Island County Land Trust for future home builds or sold at fair market value and the proceeds used to fund our programs. Either way, your gift of land supports affordable home ownership in Island County.

A bargain sale occurs when you sell real estate that you’ve owned for more than one year to us for less than its current fair market value, subject to our agreement. After we purchase your property, you receive cash and a charitable deduction, and we receive the property at a bargain price. We both benefit financially.
