Helping homeowners remain safely in their homes
Critical Home Repair
Island County Habitat works with income-qualified homeowners to complete critical repairs that will make their homes safer and healthier.
Repairs may include roof, electrical, plumbing, structural, heating, and upgrades designed to accommodate physical ability, like ramps and railings.
Home Preservation
It’s important that homeowners maintain the exterior condition of their homes to avoid larger problems down the road. Income-qualified homeowners can apply for repair/replacement of exterior components to maintain the soundness oftheir homes.
Weatherization
In many older homes, challenges arise around air quality and energy efficiency. Qualified homeowners may request assistance with replacing windows, installing weather-stripping, insulation and other components that improve the home’s ability to maintain good air quality and temperature control.
