Women Build 2023
We would like to THANK YOU for the time, hard work, and sacrifice that you willingly volunteered to Habitat for Humanity of Island County on May 19th and 20th. Through your efforts we were able to accomplish far more than we set out to accomplish. We finished painting and started flooring on one unit, and put up the walls on our new units. In all we worked for 2 days on 3 homes. Alongside our 9 wonderful sponsors and the 63 volunteers we worked 494 collective hours!! One of the most successful Women Builds thus far for Island County!

Two Different Homes
That’s right! This year we need all hands on deck as we work on two home-sites in the Oak Harbor area. You may be working on a set of two townhomes in town, a single-family home off Monroe Landing. Whichever project you work on, you will know you areĀ making a big difference for the future homeowners!

Morning Meet & Greet
You’ll start your day at the Oak Harbor Habitat Store where you’ll meet the Habitat leadership, construction team, and the families whose house your helping build.
You’ll learn more about Habitat and how the homes we build are part of the solution to the affordable housing crisis. Then you’ll receive some safety training before heading off to your assigned job site.

Volunteer Experience
Get tickets to the event and join us for a day of building and receive a commemorative t-shirt, lunch, and a Habitat hardhat. Join us after your build day for a barbeque with staff, sponsors, leadership, and Habitat homebuyers.
